I’m Munishwari Krishnakumar, a fashion design student at Pesha Naati Institute, Ramanathapuram. I attended a 10-day workshop at Silk Village, where I learned handloom weaving, boutique management, and textile design software.
Before this, I had no idea how sarees were made. Now, I understand the weaving process, digital design, and how to market and sell products. This experience has been truly valuable. My heartfelt thanks to the entire Silk Village team for this opportunity.

Before this, I didn’t know how to make a dress—but now, I can draft, cut, and stitch it myself. I also learned how to market products and identify fabric types and patterns. Earlier, I only saw saree designs—now I understand threads, weaves, and prints. This workshop truly broadened my skills and knowledge of the textile industry.
